
Another exciting and productive visit to the annual Las Vegas Market…the nation’s most comprehensive residential design, construction and furnishing sourcing with expanded and reimagined furniture, décor and some 40+ evens at the World Market Center. As always, we maximized our time to see all of the exciting, new pieces and trends. There were six trends that I found to be extremely prevalent and consistent from showroom to showroom. Trend #1: Knife Edge Upholstery A knife edge is a seam without a decorative finish. Typically, it tapers to sharp, crisp edges and corners, creating a very simple, clean, polished look. However, this year, the edge remains loose leaving a casual and unpolished look. Trend #2: Forrest Green, Rust, Mustard & Gold The popular deep greens, rusts, mustards and golds are a nod to the throwback style of the 60’s and 70’s. Unlike the neutrals, warm whites, and soft hues of the last five years or so, this is a radical departure from what has defined home décor previously.
