In the Franktown Road remodel, Talie Jane Interiors completely reimagined a rustic mountain estate into an elevated retreat with a refined yet approachable aesthetic. The design blends substantial, natural materials—think wood, stone, and engineered hardwood flooring—with clean modern lines and soft neutral tones. Through strategic architectural updates like integrated lighting, cove ceilings, and sleek trim, the home achieves a cohesive sense of warmth and sophistication while still honoring its Tahoe roots.

The primary bedroom was transformed into a tranquil and refined sanctuary. Out went the carpet in favor of engineered wood flooring, layered with soft area rugs to anchor the space while adding tactile comfort Houzz. A statement wood-accent wall behind the bed and tray ceiling with cove lighting lend depth and architectural character. Thoughtful additions like built-in cabinetry, custom trim work, and elevated furnishings elevate the bedroom into a restful, visually cohesive retreat that aligns perfectly with the home’s overall design vision.

A standout feature of this renovation is the custom bar, seamlessly integrated into the main living space. Finished with rich cabinetry and polished stone countertops, it combines form and function—perfect for entertaining or quiet evenings at home. Ambient under-cabinet lighting and pendant fixtures cast subtle warmth, while architectural elements like recessed trim and tailored shelving evoke the broader refined-rustic palette that defines Franktown Road.

The earlier, the better! Ideally, bring us in during initial planning or even before starting a renovation/build. That way, we can collaborate with architects and builders, save you from costly redesigns, and ensure cohesive, efficient results.
A decorator focuses on styling—furniture, accessories, finishes. In contrast, an interior designer combines aesthetics with technical and structural knowledge: space planning, materials, building codes, and CAD drawings. Designers shape your space; decorators style it.
We take a different approach than traditional interior designers. Rather than marking up the cost of goods for added commission, we prioritize transparency by passing our trade discounts directly to our clients, often resulting in savings that exceed the cost of our design services.
