The Tyrol Road residence presented an exciting opportunity to transform a traditional mountain home into a modern yet inviting retreat. Talie Jane Interiors began by reworking the home’s architectural features—most notably, replacing arched doorways with squared transitions to create a cleaner, more streamlined look. This subtle shift set the tone for a cohesive design throughout the home, blending contemporary updates with the warmth of a Tahoe setting.
The kitchen was fully reimagined with both beauty and efficiency in mind. Crisp cabinetry, quartz countertops, and modern pendant lighting worked together to create a bright, open space perfect for entertaining. The large island serves as both a gathering hub and a practical prep zone, while subtle wood tones add warmth to the otherwise clean, minimalist palette. This kitchen now feels like the true heart of the home—polished, practical, and effortlessly inviting.
In the bathroom, the design team created a spa-like space that feels both fresh and functional. Sleek tilework, matte black fixtures, and floating vanities added a modern edge while still maintaining a sense of warmth. A glass-enclosed shower with textured tile brought depth and contrast, while layered lighting elevated the overall ambiance. Every element was chosen to balance comfort with contemporary style.
