The design direction for Barton Court was rooted in creating an inviting and cohesive home that reflects both style and comfort. Talie Jane Interiors worked closely with the homeowners to establish a neutral yet rich palette, layering texture and natural materials to craft an interior that feels both elevated and approachable. Thoughtful spatial planning ensured that flow and functionality were considered in every room, supporting everyday routines while showcasing refined design elements. Each space was planned with an eye for balance, proportion, and a seamless transition from one room to the next.

The master bedroom at Barton Court was conceived as a restful sanctuary tailored to personal comfort. Talie Jane Interiors curated a calming palette of soft neutrals, layered textiles, and custom lighting to promote relaxation and ease. The layout was refined to maximize natural light and circulation, with furniture arranged to create an intimate yet open feel. Details such as upholstered headboards, tailored drapery, and accent lighting were selected to enhance ambiance, while bespoke storage solutions helped maintain a clutter-free environment. The result is a master suite that feels both peaceful and polished, supporting daily rest and rejuvenation.

The dedicated workout space at Barton Court reflects the firm’s commitment to blending function with thoughtful design. Rather than treating this area as a purely utilitarian zone, Talie Jane Interiors infused it with the same careful material selections and spatial planning found throughout the rest of the home. Durable yet refined finishes were chosen to stand up to active use while maintaining an aesthetic connection to adjacent spaces. Strategic placement of mirrors, equipment zones, and lighting enhances usability and creates an energizing atmosphere. This design approach ensures that the workout area is not simply functional, but also an inviting place for daily movement and well-being.

What areas do you serve?

We’re based on the southeast shore of Lake Tahoe, with our office in Stateline, NV. We proudly serve the entire Lake Tahoe region — including Reno, Carson City, Truckee — and beyond into Napa and Sonoma County.

When is the best time to hire an interior designer?

The earlier, the better! Ideally, bring us in during initial planning or even before starting a renovation/build. That way, we can collaborate with architects and builders, save you from costly redesigns, and ensure cohesive, efficient results.

What is the difference between an interior designer and an interior decorator?

A decorator focuses on styling—furniture, accessories, finishes. In contrast, an interior designer combines aesthetics with technical and structural knowledge: space planning, materials, building codes, and CAD drawings. Designers shape your space; decorators style it.

How is billing and pricing handled?

We take a different approach than traditional interior designers. Rather than marking up the cost of goods for added commission, we prioritize transparency by passing our trade discounts directly to our clients, often resulting in savings that exceed the cost of our design services.
